Naci Oğuz’s artistic process involves delving into his inner thoughts and trying to pinpoint similarities to the outside world as he perceives it and using this so-called ’common ground’ as the source of inspiration for his music. He often utilizes a darker sound when bringing together influences from different genres and blending cultural motifs in an effort to push familiar forms into progression. He sees the guitar and the fretless guitar as narrators with dramatic flair and writes songs suited to these storytellers hidden inside the instruments.
His upcoming debut album “Kirpi İkilemi” –the Hedgehog Dilemma- is based on the perceived feelings of alienation that bring about a need for deciphering the dichotomy innate in social interactions. We travel alongside the artist’s initial thought process as hidden feelings unfold and new problems surface for the ultimate resolution. This emotional journey is expressed through an eclectic mix of sounds as the electric guitar takes center stage among a diverse range of instruments from Turkish folk percussion to experimental vocals.

Magic in its purest form. I love Floating Points, I love Pharoah Sanders, I love The London Symphony Orchestra. It's a match made in heaven, and the result is absolutely gorgeous. I have loved this record since its release, and realized I don't own it for some reason. So its time to change that. 9.5/10 honestly could become a 10/10 on an indepth vinyl relisten. angrypizza98
